![]() I'd probably get just as teary-eyed at a Super Mario Galaxy conference as I did at the Symphony of the Goddesses. I love playing a Zelda, and the sense of humour in those games, and I love Mario, Peach and Rosalina. The thing is, they both do both of those things to a 10/10 level. ![]() The feel of movement, the constant bombardment of inventiveness, the jolly tunes. The music makes me so emotional, and by the end of each game I'm massively invested in saving everyone. With Zelda, I love the world and characters and the sense of heroism and adventure. In fact, some elements such as shadows are actually improved since the original release! Were really pleased with how this version is running. The "Zelda or Mario" one is a weird one for me. However, its nothing that we think players will notice, especially in handheld mode on that excellent screen. Our priority with the Switch version was to deliver a smooth experience for players, so some compromises naturally had to be made, such as comprimises a small amount of resolution for better performance and optimisations. Weve actually made improvements and this is definitely the most optimised version of the game. How close will the Switch port be to the Xbox One and PS4 versions, in visual terms? Have you had to make any big graphical sacrifices to get it running on the system? Our priority for Nintendo Switch was to deliver players a smooth, optimised experience and we hope theyll be pleased with how the game looks and runs. This is the balance were most happy with, one that still looks great and runs as smooth as possible. ![]() Were running at 900p docked and 600p undocked, while the UI always renders at 1080p, which were really happy with and is competitive with other games. What kind of resolution can we expect from the Switch port, in both docked and portable modes? Still, has anything changed since the patches? x_x Is this game going to feel like too much of a pale imitation, or if, despite not being as good as them, will this still be a decent facsimile to hold me over till Mario takes over my world?ĮDIT: DOH, I was an idiot and didn't read the OP, seems like it answers some of my questions lol. I'm under the impression that while this game is targeted towards people like me, that this game certainly doesn't hold up to say, the Banjo games. So the hardest question: I like rareware's oldschool stuff quite a bit (yeah even DK 64 despite it going too far with its collectables lol). What's on the horizon for updates regarding this game? Not too big of a deal, but I'm curious!Ĥ. I'm hoping it isn't something like "you better play jetpac to face the final boss lol"ģ. Is there any super cool unlockable for doing everything, or is it just something silly? I'm normally a completionist, but if the side content is as bad as people were saying, I don't mind leaving them lie if I'm not missing out on a huge chunk of the game. I heard a lot of bad stuff about the minigames and other side content. HOWEVER, if the PS4 (or Xbox One version for that matter) aren't 60 FPS, then I'll grin and bear the 40 bucks for the PC version (do tell me if there's a cheaper option though, that'd be nice lol)Ģ. Which versions of the game are 60 FPS? In all honesty, for once I'd prefer to get the PS4 version because used versions appear to be quite cheap. So I'll probably get this game before Super Mario Odyssey comes out (along side a Hat in Time) unless there are some HUGE problems that would ward me off. Since then, I haven't paid attention to it, but I've heard that patches have fixed some of the really bad stuff like the camera, which sounds nice. So I remember when this game came out, some friends convinced me to hold off buying it due to a lot of issues the game has had. So as I mentioned as a small sidenote in that Jontron a Hat in Time thread tonight, the hype for Super Mario Odyssey is really getting to me, and I sorta want an appetizer or two to hold me over since I'm craving collect-a-thons for the first time in a while!
